Why does the water taste of fried onions?

And another slight moan, the water smells terrible, and doesn't taste much better. It was interesting that at Universal it tasted better than at Disney.

Had to buy a lot of bottled water!

You drunk the water........???
I've lived here 4 years....and I don't think I've tasted US water from a tap in that time.......I don't even have ice in my drinks while out eating......I did use the filtered water in the ice maker at the Villa.....maybe that counts.....but that seemed OK....

We have a town well......its like having spring water.....but I still can't drink it....I was always told when abroad don't drink the water.....and that stuck with me......I even use mouthwash for my teeth.....

Must admit never noticed what it tasted like, was too dam hot and when you need a drink of water
you just have a drink of water

The tap (faucet) water in Florida always tastes as if it is straight out of the swimming pool and is not nice to drink. We always get plenty of bottled water and keep it cool in the fridge.

Same here John, it has a chlorine taste and we always get bottled water for a few cents in the supermarkets. It's OK for washing and cleaning your teeth though and also safe for drinking I believe, if you can put up with the taste!

Anyone noticed that fizzy soda drinks which are mixed with concentrate syrup and pumped in restuarants, etc also has a faint similar taste - or is it just me?
