    Highway 192

I haven't been out to Florida for a few years but does anyone know if there's now a pavement on H192? I know they were doing some road works and I'm just hoping I'm not restricted to a certain area each night and can have a nice walk. I don't like driving at night and my husband can't drive either(!)
    Thanks

There are some pavements, but I wouldn't say it was easily walkable as a means of getting around. I've noticed more bus stops now, but don't know anything about the buses.

Have just come back from stating near 192. Its very busy, there are some pavements I would not recommend walking. News out there is that they are in the process of up grading all of 192 for economic reasons. I did not see any buses (we stayed on Poinciana Blvd)

There are very good pavements the entire way between mile marker 7 and 11, very safe. Get some roller blades and have a great time. Beats walking.
Ther is now a bus servicwe that goes down the 192 as well.

There aren't any pavements at my end-Lindfields down over towards Splendid China-possibly because it is not quite so built up there at the moment.

We used the bus service on the 192 when we were there last August. The buses were regular and it was a $1 a ride. You need to have the correct amount as you have to use a machine, the bus driver does not take your money.

Lynx, the regional transit agency, has extended its Kissimmee route west to Polk County, and a celebration is planned this morning, officials said Tuesday.

Link 55, which travels along U.S. Highway 192 from Kissimmee to the Walt Disney World area, now reaches the Summer Bay vacation community just east of U.S. 27.

The Link 55 extension goes into slices of Orange, Osceola, Polk and Lake counties, all within the 3-mile extension, in the area known as Four Corners that is southwest of metro Orlando.

Polk County Commissioner Paul Senft and Osceola Commissioner Atlee Mercer will speak at the Publix Shopping Center at Summer Bay at 10 a.m. today during a celebration of the extended route.

Other points of interest on the route are Osceola Square Mall, Celebration, Water Mania and Old Town.
