Anyone from Nottingham?

HELP! My friend is celebrating her 30th birthday in Nottingham in April. We had White Water Rafting planned for her, but they've closed the rapids and cancelled our event. We were going on a medieval banquet for one evening but have just found out that they're not opening on one of the nights and have a wedding on the other. Aaaaaaagh. [}

] Anyone been to Sherrif's Lodge for a banquet, was it any good?

I've managed to book her in for some ice-skating lessons and we've got the hotel booked but that's about it so far.

Does anyone have any suggestions to speed my search?

I used to live in nottingham now live in Grantham not too far away, shame they closed the rapids at Holme Pierpoint though !!!

Where are you staying ???? Have you found enough to do yet or do you need some more help ??

My daughter goes to uni at Nottingham. She says older people (ie 30 yr olds!) like Jumpin Jacks - a club! Lots of nice restaurants, Theatre Royal, old fashioned cinema (can't remember the name) - otherwise a pub crawl!

On a happier note[msnwink], we're sorted now but thanks to you all for coming back to me.

I've got her doing quad riding and archery, followed by a pub/club crawl and staggering back to the Hilton. I've booked a coach to give us ice-skating lessons, followed by much lounging by the pool and soothing of aching muscles in the jacuzzi, finishing off with a medieval banquet. THAT should tire her out. Although she's a bit of an engergizer bunny so we'll all be flagging and she'll be going strong, no doubt!!

If you see a bunch of gals gingerly walking down the street, seeking some alcohol anesthetic for those bruised bones - that'll be us!!

Glad you got it sorted, That sounds a fun weekend !!!!

Went to the Sheriff's Lodge a long time ago it was a good night out we all went Fancy Dress too. A real good laugh.

Loads of pubs and clubs in the city too!!!! You won't run out.
