    any tips for cheap flights?

I only need to be in Orlando for a few days next week but even on Airline Networks the prices for scheduled flights for next week are crazy!! The charters are so much cheaper(Airtours have flydrives available for less than £200) but can't seem to book for less than a week which, although would be great, is no use to me
    Any ideas?

We are flying to Sanford on a 747 jumbo this Saturday for 2 weeks at a cost of £79 each. They did have some cheap flights available for next week at around £120. This was with Travel City Direct.

Your biggest problem is your timescales, charters generally work on a 7 day return basis, whereas scheduled operators work give you the flexibility but it costs more. It helps if you stay over a saturday night, but you are choosing a busy time of year. If you can postpone to beginning mid May? That's when scheduled airlines arent as busy, but still busy.....if you know what I mean ! I got a ticket from Manchester to Chicago down to Orlando for this monday for £288, and all you needed to do was stay a saturday night. That was with American Airlines. I think those have all sold out now, but its still worth playing around with your dates if you can, you may find a bargain.
    Hope that helps

Depends on the dates, but couldn't you book 2 charters and go out with one and come back with the other. Obviously you will have to tell them what you are doing or the return charter might treat you as a no show outbound and sell your seat for the return.

My advice is to be careful with that one, even scheduled airlines dont like you doing this! If a passenger makes it clear he is doing this the airline has the right to refuse to sell the seat and to cancel the whole itin if the outbound is not used[msnscared]

Also, your luggage allowance might be restricted with cheap charter flights. You may not have the luxury of 2 suitcases of upto 32Kg each that you get with Virgin or BA?

Airlines are wise to this now so be wary.

What is wrong with doing that, as long as you let the airline know, does it matter ???

    Hi Lindajo

Which company did you buy tour ticket from and also where are you departing from? We are planning to go out again to Florida and the price you have mentioned is very good.
