    Travel Insurance

Can anyone recommend where we can get good travel insurance for my parents without paying an arm or a leg. My father will be 66 when we travel and my mother 65, both are in excellent health but have been getting extremely high quotes for insurance. They did get a quote on the internet which was very low, but we had not heard of the company and we want to make sure they have adequate cover, eg medical etc. Any help would be appreciated.
    Many thanks[msnsmile]

I used to use the travel insurance link on this forum for my parents but unfortunately their rates for OAPs have shot up recentlyTherefore I recommend you try SAGA or Age Concern (one does an annual policy and the other doesn't, I can't remember which it is, sorry[:I]). I arranged annual couple insurance for my parents and my PIL this wayI still use the link on here for our family annual policy and that is excellent.

My parents ages 65 & 62 usually go with an annual insurance with Tesco, don't know how they compare with other companies though.[msnsmile]

You may not believe this but American Express sometimes come up with surprisingly good quotes for senior citizens. When we shopped around, they were nowhere in the picture for ourselves (47 and 46 and in good health), while they were easily the best for my in-laws who are in their 70s and have minor age related ailments.

We had trouble getting decent priced insurance for my mother-in-law and her sister (ages 68 and 75 respectively). After searching through loads of sites, the cheapest we could find for a single trip was with www.gotravelinsurance.co.uk
