    Down Town Disney

    Hi Everyone

Although I've been to Florida twice before and due out again this July, I wondered just how easy it is to get to Downtown Disney by car.

Last time we went there, we stayed at WDW and it was easy, just using Disney's Transportation System. However, this time, we're staying in Indian Point and I wondered if it was easy enough by car.

Having stayed within WDW its amazing just how vast the place is! I'm ok in the evening getting out of the main Disney car park to get back to Kissimmee but am I right in assuming you can't leave your car there and take the transportation to DTD if you intend to come back later at night - not sure what time the car park closes at. Is it a case of having to drive straight to DTD and park there?

    Any thoughts or advice appreciated.

    Cheers

We go to DTD alot and its dead easy, once you are on the Disney estate you just follow the signs for DTD and park along side all the action, the carpark runs the full length of DTD.

Like Julie says, it's really easy to get to DTD (and I find it easier to get into and out of than some of the other Disney parks - I've been known to get lost once or twice!!).

From Indian Point, I think that if you go up to US192 and turn right, travel for about 1/2 mile and then turn left onto SR535, this will take you to Hotel Plaza Boulevard (left immediately after I4). Turn down here, keep going and you can't miss DTD on the right.

    Thanks Gillian.

That might be an easier route to take.
