With a party that size, you'd probably do better trying not to eat too much in the parks as you're going to find it quite expensive, particularly with snacks and drinks.

Some people get around this by setting themselves up with an all you can eat buffet breakfast before going to the parks so that you won't be very hungry whilst there or taking frozen bottled water (you can buy it by the gallon in the supermarkets very cheaply) in cool bags. There are also lots of drinking fountains in the parks.

Although most of the parks aren't very happy or may ban an entire picnic, a sub or roll for each person probably will be OK. You can rent a locker at the entrance to all the parks, leave your subs there and return later to collect them when everyone's hungry.

At Disney it's $5 but I don't know about extra keys. You can easily arrange to all meet at the locker at the same time or send someone to the locker to bring the stuff you have stowed back to the rest of you.

Even our family of 4 spent managed to spend $40 for lunch, a few burgers, fries and drinks. On our last visit we brought several bottles of water and snacks and left it in the lockers.

I am always reading advice about not eating in the theme parks and filling up at 'all you can eat buffets' that will last you all day. We tried this approach and found that you just can't force 2000 calories down your childrens throats at 7 am. Infact if you are use to cereal and a slice of toast before work suddenly eating tons of food before embarking on a trip round disney can really upset your constitution! We gave up on all that and spent a few extra dollars eating at the parks later in the day after a lighter breakfast. we all felt much better for it. You can buy those great big turkey legs in most parks for a few dollars that are very filling. My advice is, You're on holiday eat when you get hungry. Take some water bottles and fill them from the drinking fountains and don't waste money on too many ice creams and sweets. Remember also you get lots of dollars to the pound at the moment so it won't be that expensive anyway.

If you decide you want to have one really good meal at one of the nice sit-down restaurants in Disney, be sure you make a reservation upon arrival at the park in the morning. Epcot has all those terrific places to eat in the World Showcase - where you choose will depend on what your family likes. You really can't go wrong in any one of these.

What we did a few times, is about mid day come out of the park, go and have something to
eat outside, spend an hour back at the Villa so the kids could have a swim and we adults
could rest, then go back to the park when everyone is fed and refreshed.

We usually stock up with a large breakfst and then only have an ice-cream in the park and a coffee or something like that. We have two lads (14 & 12) and they can eat at any time of the day or night, makes no difference to them as long as they get fed![msnwink]
