Travel City Airline Changes

Not sure if this has been posted here before but European Aviation Aircharter Limited (Travel City's Airline usually called 'European&#39 went into administration on the 17th March.

TCD already have new arrangements with Excel/Air Atlanta Europe. Not sure if this was due to shaky position of European or whether TCD changing carriers forced the administration.

There is a thread on another board and on Airliners.net if anyone wants more info.

The plus side has got to be Excel have a much better punctuality record than European and they seem to be re-fitting all the planes with new leather seats and they will be branded with TCD logos and use Travel City Airline codes from May. Mock-ups and more information on the TCD website

Flights until May will be with Air Atlanta Europe (subsiduary of Air Atlanta who lease planes to Excel and Virgin amongst others) New enquiries for April give flight numbers with EUK (Excel/Air Atlanta codes)and for May with TCY (Travel City's Airline code?).

We are out in April and back in May so hopefully I can post what the changes are when we get back.

Oh I was thinking the rebranded planes were still European Avation,
Didnt know they had gone bust.

What fleet are Exel using 747-200??

Hi Oliver,

The thought is 747-200 as this is what Air Atlanta who will lease the planes to Excel have. There is also a school of thought which says some may or may not be the old European planes anyway.
