In my single days I used to have curry for breakfast quite often at the weekend and found it the perfect hangover cure [msnwink].

We returned from Florida on Saturday morning and I am pretty much over my jetlag now - all I did was force myself to stay awake the day I came home until normal UK bedtime. Mind you, I was in a foul mood most of the day from being tired [msnsad].

Curry for Breakfast? Never heard of it.

Indian food does not begin and end with curries, contrary to most Westereners beliefs. In fact, in Southern India (where I am from) there are quite a few tasty and varied breakfast meals, but most of them are unfamiliar to outsiders. There are two problems; most have only indigenous names and take time to make...so rather unsuitable for busy, working people.

If you are unlucky enough to be a shift worker, plan your return to the Uk when you are on nights, take an evening flight home then go straight to work.
    Its what works for me.

Amy, surely if you take an evening flight home, you arrive home early in the morning the next day? I've never found a flight from Florida that arrived in the evening?
