Hi Lisi,
Is this Port Charlotte? If so we liked the area for shopping but didn't explore the harbour.
Ruth
Yes Ruth it is. We once stayed in a timeshare in Fishermans Village in Punta Gorda, not far from Charrlotte Harbour. To sum it up, hubby called it a 3 donkey town - we had just come up from a week's stay in a 2 donkey town further down the coastat Bonita Beach.
The kids did enjoy the boat trip round the harbour. We hired a boat for 4 hours and trogged up and down the harbour and surrounding estuary looking for dolphins. We did see some and my daughter got very upset at one point because we 'drove over them'. Couldn't get through to her that they actually dived under the boat, we didn't drive over them as we were stationary. She wouldn't speak to her dad for the rest of the day [8D]

Cape Haze, Englewood, Rotunda, all quite close to Port Charlotte (which is excellent for shopping) is a great area to stay in![]()
