Can anyone explain the green sand along the I4?! Sad, I know but it intrigued us during our visit.
Throughout the construction areas, they were spraying the banks of sand a lovely turquoise shade. Seemed a little strange to me but we never got around to asking anyone! Didn't know if it was to tell the workman where they had to 'sod' the new turf but they kept digging it up!

Hydro seeding maybe.....its a way of putting down grass seed.....
It definitely sounds like hydro-seeding. Pretty common in the U.S. - must not be so common in the UK!!

I've never seen it used in the UK.....I'm not a fan of it myself....but it maybe just where I live....most of the grass dies with the cold no matter what......I leave the Cape Cod sand dune grass growing in my garden.....it looks great in the summer......but it dies back to the dirt in the winter...but it grows free so I love it......[8D]
Aaahhhh. It all becomes clear now. That's not something I've ever seen in the UK. Makes sense though. Thanks for your replies.
