Thread: I don't know what area to look at for a villa?

I don't know what area to look at for a villa?

This year we are going to do Universal, IOA, Sea World, and Wet & Wild. We want to stay in a villa but I can't find any closer to those locations. I look into the Kissimmee, near Poinciana Blvd & 192. Does anyone have suggestions? Should we stay closer to I-4. Please help.

We have stayed on Poinciana, we found it was nice being away from all the main parks
and only a short drive to them.,

All the villas on this site will be fine for these attractions - my advice would be to choose the actual villla that suits your party size and has the facilities you require.

Would have to agree with Caroline & Dave here, most villa accomodation is 10 minutes or more from the parks.

HI Luzmarie, Yes most of the homes on orlandovillas sites are very close to all the parks and attractions. My advise is to put out a General Inquiry as most will tell you locations and how long it takes to get to each park. Also there is a community map on orlandovillas that shows where each community is located.

I have to say here that whatever community you are at, that you are never really far away, 30 minute drive tops I'd guess at.

I for one know that it doesn't bother me in the slightest driving the 20/25 minutes to the Universal Parks from my home.

Hi - we stayed in Crescent Lakes - I spent ages wondering where was the best place to base ourselves but we loved Poinciana and it was so quick to get to the 192 and the parks. It's also great to get back to a bit of peace and quiet and unwind in your own pool

Most keep posting "xx minutes from the park", and that assumes "NO" traffic congestion!

That is a little misleading because I think what they mean is that most villas are between 5 and 15 miles from the parks ... and when there "IS" traffic congestion it could take 1 hour ore more to drive those 5 to 15 miles.

So really, where you decide to stay in any of these villas will be just fine. The problem is the park traffic and if you are coming down when school is out, ie, Spring Break, Xmas/New Years or Summer .... expect traffic.

I dont know where you have stayed but it sounds like you have been unlucky. It has never taken me more than 30 minutes to reach the car park in Universal from my home regardless of traffic and more usually takes 20 minutes. The I4, even when busy, tends to keep moving and provides an excellent route at any time of day or year.

It does depend on which route you use - if you go via the 192 you will get delays. However, if you choose the Osceola Parkway toll road - then its plain sailing right through to Disney's Maingate - even with heavy traffic.
