We were advised that we had to take the car hire to get the flights at a reasonable price. I certainly wouldn't have paid the car hire price that Charter were initally asking. It might be worth you ringing them re the price you have paid for car hire as like I mentioned above they matched the price I got from the link above (I just told them how much less I could get it for and they didn't ask for any proof).
