Well, having just returned from Florida for the fifth year running, GO FOR IT!!! Our 7 year old just loved being in the pool whenever we were back at the villa but loved days out at the parks too. We had lunch with Pooh & friends at the Crystal palace & I can definately recommend it- great food & such lovely characters!!! For anyone going with older kids try the Hard Rock Cafe at Universal; Our 15 year old thought she'd died and gone to heaven!! The younger ones at 7 and 11 enjoyed feeling "cool" too! We adults just loved the food & being able to show off that we knew some of the featured rock stars from first time round!!!
When you're planning your trip ask lots of questions on here. There's always someone who has experience! The planning is nearly as much fun as the trip!!

When we travelled with the 3 children we found hotels were boring and tense, Either stuck in the room or we went to the public areas but we just couldn’t relax, needing to keep an eye on them all the time. With the Villa we could all relax, things for each to do and we could have a drinky poo too! Oh! And Florida is great at the time you can go. Plan it out early to get the reduced rates.[msnwink]

i have a little girl and we tend to stay a week in a hotel so she can mix with children round the pool for a bit company and then the second week we stay in a villa so we can do our laundry!!!! seriously we stay in the villa so we are not confined to one room and they are so wonderful. last year we discovered windsor palms and stayed in a condo there. that was the best of both worlds as we had a 3 bedroom condo in a gated community with a communal pool, cinema and club house. we will be staying on an estate with a communal pool all the time in the future now.

I married a teacher so peak times are the only time we can go, having stayed in various hotels/motels and then in a villa I would only stay in a villa now! So much so that we bought one after our second villa stay, we go for the first time to our villa in October. If you are prepared and plan your day you should do ok, we were there easter last yer and 1 hour was the biggest Q. I would recommend fast pass, and perhaps a few bits to keep the little one going during the Q's. Have Fun
