    Wilderness Lodge Activities

We are not staying at the Wilderness Lodge (villa of course!!!) but we have noticed some activities running at the Lodge which we are interested in.
    These are:
    1) Ladybird release
    2) Cycle hire to cycle round the lakes and through the woods
    3) Campfire with the characters

I would imagine the campfire is for guests only but do you know whether anyone can hire the bikes and whether you are able to go down for the ladybird release with no room ID?

I knew I had seen something about Wilderness Lodge

    3. The Wilderness Lodge Trail : this is a daytime walk only. Start out at the Wildrenss Lodge and walk the mile towards Ft.Wilderness. Shaded and hardly ever used. Once at Ft.Wildreness you can enjoy the petting zoo or go horseback riding. At 6 Pm they have hayrides for $ 6. They also have story telling and sing song camp fires where Chip and Dale come to visit. During the day you can enjoy the white sand public beach at the dock. There is snack bar at the general store and plenty of lawn chairs and hammocks on the beach. The buffet luncheon at Crocketts tavern is under $ 9 and will be more then enough as your main meal for the day. Rent a speed boat ( they call them water Sprites ) for $ 18 per half hour and tour the lake.We have frequently rented one of those platform party boats for $ 60 per hour. We do it with three families and have a blast just cruising around for an hour.

For your return get on the free boat launch going back to Wilderness Lodge. By then you are a little too tired to walk back.
Allocate 3 hours for this trip

Doesn't mention cycles-but sounds like it would be an interesting day. A Florida local wrote that so I would think anyone could join in.
TIP: when heading to the Wilderness Lodge just get in the right lanes at the Magic Kingdom gates.Tell them you are heading to the lodge and they wil waive the parking fee.

NB Esprit did have a bit of an embarrassment about room ID that she didn't have-which I'm sure she'll mention.
