Disney Hotels

Disney is running a special for the entire summer and just added fall dates to rent the hotels at great discounts.....the moderates for the value price , deluxe for the moderate prices. Value anywhere from 74.00 to 109.00 per night and moderates any where from 134.00 to 194.00 per night. I realize most have villas, but for some people who are staying just a few nights this is a great deal. Bonnie

Don't think there's real competition here, when you consider a room, (albeit in a Disney hotel) with the price of drinks and food there, against your own villa with lots of room and your own private pool. We've stayed at the Dolphin, still have the shudders thinking about the money it cost us just for one family meal there!!

We all know these hotels can offer 'specials' on the basis that you'll spend an arm and a leg once you're in there

thats the thing people tend to forget when they stay in hotels, it may appear cheaper, but when you take into account all the added extras that automatically go with staying in a hotel, its a tad on the pricey side!!

Villa owners are usually quite acceptable to the idea of short breaks aswell as long stays!

I don't think you should be apologising Bonnie, on the contrary, it is good to open up the discussion on hotels v villas.

Initially the hotel option can look a good one, until you bring in those hidden costs!! So for potential guests it's good to know the ups and downs!

It's down to us as villa owners to sell our services - USP's and all that.

Having stayed at Euro Disney in a hotel and in villas in Orlando (not just our own) I can honestly say it knocks spots off it. All that space, swim when you want, and if you don't want to cook you don't have to.

ONLY 7 WEEKS TILL WE GO!!!

When my husband and I go alone we don't stay in the homes or villas it is just the two of us and usually jsut for a long weekend. That is when the good deals for the hotels are useful, I realize most of you are from the Uk, but if we travel for three nights I don't need a house. Bonnie

No, I give up Fiona, what's a USP? I know I'm going to regret asking this
