    Rental Car return and check-in

On our last visit, I remember making the mistake of dropping everybody off first near the check-in and then going around to return the rental car to Dollar by myself. This was easier on the luggage, but I could not find my party in the crowd when I got back and had to check-in separately. This time, we have decided to stick together and return the car to Dollar as we come in from the south side at MCO. I cannot recall if there are luggage trolleys close to the Dollar returns area. Any suggestions?

When we were there in December there were trolleys, just past the little "office" towards the terminal but on the car park side.

Yes, there are luggage trollies but you have to pay for them. They're around $3 - $4 each and you need single dollar notes.

Alternatively there is usually at least one skycap (porter) hovering around the area which, if you have a lot of people in your party, is probably just as expensive or cheap as luggage trollies! They're also pretty good about taking you straight to check-in without your having to wander around and locate it.

We used a skycap last time we returned and he took us to a great check in line away from all the others with hardly any passengers there!

I think the Skycap is a good idea. Thanks Blott. We are 7 in our party and between us will need at least 2 trolleys, maybe even 3. So, if a Skycap helps us, do you think $12 to $15 could do it? Not a great amount given the exchange rates.

If you get one when you arrive, grab one at baggage reclaim, they'll take you to the car rental desks, wait for you to complete the paperwork and then take you to your car and load the luggage for you.

It's usually a minimum of $2-3 per suitcase. I usually tend to be on the generous side and give a bit more than that as we travel there often and I'd hate to meet up with one from our previous trip who was disgruntled about the size of our tip!

They have huge trollies which will probably take the whole party's luggage.

Last time i came back everybody was having trouble trying to get the trolleys to work, you have to pay but the trolleys were not accepting money or credit cards as indicated
I ended up geting a skycap which was good, i gave him $20

Hi, I've only flown into Sanford before and returning the hire car there is a piece of cake !!

Can anyone advise if it's straight forward enough at MCO ?

    I'd be grateful for any tips/advise [:I]

Dollar certainly is, same proceedure as Sanford, drive in, park where told and then unload your luggage.

Haven't flown into Sandford but have found MCO to be one of the easiest airports around for picking up and returning hire cars.
