We were in Busch and a wheelchair person came to the front, when she got off the wheelchair
rolled back down the ramp and guess what, the lady ran back after it
I think too many people have abused the system which is a shame for the genuine people

My son used a wheelchair in Disney once after he'd been ill for a few days....we never paid for one....and I really can't remember how we got it......I did tell everyone he was just using it to rest....but they still let us go ahead a few times.......it also happened on a few rides with my mother when she used a chair this year...which she does need.....but no so often this time.....quote:Originally posted by ruthless333

i know this sounds cheeky, but could that comfy seat be a wheel chair and near the front of the queues??
we hope to bring my mum, early 60's, and she will struggle walking alot so we suggested a wheel chair - is it true what I have heard about Q's?
honest, my mum really does struggle to walk alot.............
I am taking my in-laws, who are 81 and 75 reapectively. They are frail, but in good general health and quite mobile.
We are taking them to all the big parks, but leaving them at home for Blizzard Beach, Disney Quest etc so that they get extra few days rest. So, it turns out that they do a 2 days 'on' and 2 days 'off' routine. We plan to arrive early at all aprks so that we have the maximum time available for the seniors to go about at their own pace.
Finally, it has been agreed that if either or both of them feel too tired to go on at any point, we'll just help them to sit and wait comfortably at an obvious point from where they can be picked up later.

I really want my mum to come, but she is worried that she will hold us up..... I have explained exactly what you have all been saying that she will have plenty of chances to sit down, people watch etc., or alternatively if she really doesn't fancy a day out she can relax 'at home.'
Hopefully she will reconsider - this is going to be such a great holiday.....[msnsmile]
Really can't wait till 2005....... thanks everyone for their help and advice......[msnsmile2]
