    Best route to KSC

In the past, I have always taken the I-4 and Beeline Expressway route from one of the Disney or I-drive hotels to Kennedy Space Center. But this time, we will be at Orange Tree villa community on US27 and going to KSC on a Tuesday. I have checked that it is a non-launch day, but we will still have to negotiate the rush hour traffic, especially on US192 and I-4.

Therefore, I came up with a plan to bypass the I-4 completely and most of US192, at least on our way out to KSC. I am not sure if this is the best plan and would like experts to comment, please.

From Orange Tree, left into US27 and left again into US192; leave US192 at Marker 4 and take the Black Lake shortcut past AK into Osceola Parkway, going east; join SR417 (Central Florida Greenway) at its 'Exit' 3 and continue north-east until Exit 26 where we can turn right into Beeline Expressway (SR528) and continue east towards KSC. This way, we MAY avoid the worst of the traffic, perhaps at the cost of an additinal toll booth. Any opinions?

last two times wwe went to KSC we traqvelled east out of kissimmee for quite some way towards the coast then took a left turn on to a very quiet (almost deserted) road for around 40 miles of almost continuous straight road it was very pretty and relaxing (cant remember name of road off hand)

Thanks. But the whole problem is "east out of Kissimmee". I have always found it busy on the US192 on weekdays. Sooner we can get off it, the better.

We've never had much problem with the 192, going in either direction and our place is at indian point. It all depends on what time of day you go. Like most built up areas morning and evening rush-hour's will always cause delays.
