    Question about Esta

    Hi,
I have started filling in our applications for next years holiday🤞The question I’m a bit stuck on is where they ask if you’re employed or recently employed. My husband has been retired for a few years and I have recently retired but it doesn’t give that as an option. If I tick yes as recently employed they then ask for details of that employer. Has anyone else had this issue? Any thoughts on what I should answer? I’m thinking I should click yes and then just fill in the details but surely they should have an option to tick retired?
Hope someone can provide some insight, thanks.

Interested in seeing any responses. Our ESTA’s have just expired and I need to renew before our trip in November (hopefully). I just looked at what I did 2 years ago and I answered the question on being employed or recently employed with a NO as I have been retired a good few years and they were approved without any problem.

Update - I completed our Esta applications earlier today and named my recent employer, for my husband I listed his name as employer as he had been self employed until he retired (I do think there should be an option to put if a person is retired) I’m very relieved to report that both our applications were approved within 10-15 minutes fingers crossed for next May
