Florida is so much more than theme parks

Everyone associates Orlando with theme parks but I just wanted to point out that Florida is a very diverse wonderful place.
In the vicinity of Kissimmee, you have got a number of state parks where you can:
go canoeing down the river to see the alligators in the wild,
hot springs that you can go riding down on massive rubber ring tubes,
citrus farms where you can pick your own oranges and even go on a monster truck ride through the marshes and look at all the wildlife (snakes, bugs, birds etc)
    airboat rides in the everglades,
    fishing,
Go a little north and you can swim with manatees.
There are 2 lovely coasts with totally different beaches.
If you rent a villa you will have your own personal swimming pool with no worries about social distancing.
Plus the weather is so much more reliable than England.

I was frustrated by TUIs decision to suspend holidays to Florida until December as we don't all go to Florida for theme parks, which by the way will all be open by July 15th. We'll all just have to get used to facemasks but the speed of ease of lockdown in USA is very fast.

There are so many open attractions which showcase Florida and it is nice to be able to see some of what Florida is about, as much as we enjoy the parks we always try and find somewhere we have not been before.

I completely agree, we have been going to Florida for years and only occasionally visit the theme parks, we love going over to the coast and visiting state parks.
