    Disgraceful price hike on flights

Due to lack of work this year we weren’t sure if we could manage a Florida trip this year so have left it late to book our flights. Villa is booked and paid for, all our holidays confirmed with our work . Looks like we will not be going as these flight prices are just ridiculous . Anyone else in the same boat (punt not intended) ? Due to fly 17th of this month (10 days time) not looking good .

Im just booking flights for someone else and United have LHR to MCO with one easy stop for under $600 return. Fling out of the 17th. Even with a bag fee that's a cheap flight.

Thanks for the reply, I have looked on United and the cheapest for EDI - MCO is £969 with checked bag . Hopefully come down in the next couple of days .

Why would you book villa ..... and pay for it before you book your flights ?

For last minute booking that is a pretty good price. All the real discounts are for the first 'x' amount sold. As the plane fills up the price goes up, especially when looking at a non major hub such as EDI. You stand more chance of cheaper flights via a major hub.

Got sorted today with United Airlines £641 , happy with that .

Cork, we have always booked the villa first , it is owned by an ex work colleague so get it for a great price plus we always go in October .
