Alamo FFAR SUV - Does it come with sat nav?

    Hello All,

We have booked a full size SUV (Chevy Tahoe, or similar), through US Car Hire, which we are collecting from Orlando International.

Does this class of car come with built in sat nav?

    Thanks in advance,
    Narinder

That's the car we normally get and four times out of five there is no sat nav. You do get lucky occasionally.

Bear in mind you get to choose the car you like best from the line-up in the category booked. Take a look at them to see if there is a SatNav (it's often hard to tell though by looking as they can have a built-in screen for other purposes sometimes but still no Sat Nav).

The only way to be sure is to book the option with SatNav, but of course then you have no choice but to pay for it in advance.

I would buy one ( Tom Tom 5200 Life Time Maps ) & bring it with you .

Very light & if you buy a good camera / toilet bag ( to fit it in ) it will be safe inside your carry on bag .

We bought a TomTom 15 years ago. Can no longer update as the memory is too small for a full U S map - we just have a South East US map and a UK map on ours, but it still works well and is fine for most journeys. It cost us £100 and has paid for it's self many time over, against renting one.I bring it in my hand luggage along with my toll transponder every trip.
