    Serengeti Safari and Dining Experience

Has anyone been on the Serengeti Safari?
Did you go on the all inclusive Safari and dining experience at the Colonial Restaurant?
    Any Comments?
    Eg. What was the meal?

Not exactly... You can travel over the Serengeti plain by railway or skyride and you can see the animals quite well from both but closer up on the train.

It seems quite expensive to pay out $49.99 + tax on top of your park admission to me for something that you can see twice (by rail and skyride) for free and for a three course meal.

According to their website http://www.buschgardens.com the meal is described as

Savor fresh seafood entrees. Feast on family-style chicken and fish dinners. Or enjoy a hearty sandwich from our extensive menu. Choose any entrée you like, plus your choice of any two items from our fine selections of mouth-watering appetizers, savory soups and indulgent freshly baked desserts.

We did the full package last year. This included a guide for the day who took us to the front of all the rides, the Serengeti Safari, Meal from the Colonial Restaurant and 20% off all purchases. The cost was $69 each but as it was a bank holiday and the queues were horendus it was well worth it. For the free meal you could pick anything from the buffet menu and the guide paid for it. I have attached 2 photos of the Serengeti Safari.
