    Villa Locations

    Hi people,

Couple of questions from a newbie!!

First of all, there are around 25-30 of us coming over from scotand for my wedding. What villa locations would be ideal for Int drive/Disney world etc?

What is closest beach to Orlando?

What is the best location in Florida for a wedding? St.Pete's? miami?

    thanks

If you are going to orlando & don't want a beach wedding what about trying these ( we had friends who married in Orlando & narrowed it down to these two locations!

Leu Gardens. Harry P. Leu Gardens has nearly fifty acres of peaceful grounds that let you enjoy "Old Florida" at a
leisurely pace. Stroll along meandering paths shaded by ancient oaks, forests of camellias and giant camphor
trees. Ceremony will take place in a wooden gazebo within the rose garden.

Orlando Historic Inn. An award winning historic bed and breakfast getaway and restaurant for romantic couples.
Four historic buildings, each of a different era, overlooking Lake Lucerne, encircling a lush, intimate garden, within
walking distance of Orlando's business and financial district and downtown's exceptional shopping and dining. Listed in
the National Register of Historic Places. Weddings are held in the historic courtyard.

Hope this gives you some ideas [msnsmile2][msnsmile2][msnsmile2]

All the Orlando area villas on these websites are within 15 mins of Disney. None of them are particularly near to International Drive as this is a hotel/conference/shopping area and not residential.

The closest beach to Orlando is probably Daytona on the Atlantic coast and is within an hour's drive.

Best location for a wedding - how about Disney? Or at a villa you're staying in? Or anywhere else you can think of really as weddings can be held anywhere with advance notice! You can even get married underwater if you want!

I got married at Cocoa Beach. It was lovely! The Rev Diane married us and did everything we asked for - even down to a steel drummer! If you want more details PM me.

I would go to Clearwater beach and after the wedding ceremony (Shepherds) take the wedding party on the 'sea screamer' for the boat ride of your life. You will the be escorted by dolphins dancing in the wake of the boat. End the day with a meal in Heilman's Beachcomber , a fantastic setting and menue. Stay at Shepherds or the Clearwater Hotel. End the evening up tempo at Frencheys Rockaway on the beach at Rockaway Park. 1 minuite from the hotels and reataurant.

I would say not Miami, a bit of a weird place. Interesting to visit for a day but there are a lot of people you wouldnt want to know around, if you get my gist. I would stick with Clearwater which is beautiful.

One bit of advise, if you plan on getting married in the rainy season make sure the wedding service is over by 4pm. We stayed at St Petes beach in August and watched several unfortunate couples get completely drenched because the rain showers descended. It is a beautiful setting for a wedding though.
