    Carlo's Bakery

I see Buddy "Cake Boss" Valastro, has opened a bakery in the Florida Mall, we went to his New York 42nd Street shop and loved the Red Velvet cheesecake.

Will be paying this one a visit for sure!

Three people I know have been there and were extremely disappointed. Very expensive and not very tasty we were told . We didnt shop as the queue was horrendous. Glad I didnt after I spoke to my friends.

We tried the bakery in Las Vegas and were not impressed. Very expensive and no better than cheaper cakes from smaller bakeries. You are just paying a premium for a name.

Ok so perhaps I will rethink that decision.

We visited the original New Jersey Bakery 2 years ago and the Cannoli's were delicious. I'm sad to say we were very disappointed with the Florida Mall Bakery and won't be going back

Yes very expensive, also queue was enormous, they opened the Florida Mall just after Christmas last year. Not that we queued, we just had a look as we were walking through.

Ditto disappointing experience in March - bought two cakes, a red velvet and a carrot, both seemed very artificial flavour - I bake a lot so thought maybe I was over critical but I guess the American taste for buttercream overrides the flavour of the cake itself. Mary Berry and Nigella need not worry, LOL!!
