    Car hire prices

    Hi

Can anyone explain why the car hire prices have gone up so much.

I have tried to book a Intermediate SUV from April 2nd to April 26th (24 days ) and was quoted £965. Last year for 23 days at a similar time was £511 for 23 days

That's during Easter peak time. If you use a villa referer link you should find much better price.

You dont have to rent a villa from here to use a referers link, try using mine https://www.uscarhire.com/?villa=1436
Just tried and got a quote for just over £600. This doesn't seem bad to me as it is Easter peak time.
I'm going in August and it over £500 for 21 nights

Or just use the link in the menu at the top of this page, specially for forum users: https://www.uscarhire.com/orlandoforums

I've rented a Mustang, through here, for the last two years, Alamo April 2014 and Dollar Nov 2015. On both occasions they came in around £500-£550 mark. I was looking for November this year...again Alamo £556...Dollar £751! ouch!

Make sure you are using a referrer code to ensure best prices. Also you should always check both Silver basic and Silver inclusive since on occasion Silver Inclusive can be cheaper that Silver basic even though you get the extra driver.

I have just run a quote and although the silver basic was cheaper than the silver inclusive I found the gold was cheaper than the silver inclusive and includes a tank of fuel. The silver basic also said that if booked in january then a second driver would be included free. So it pays to check

    Hi

Thanks to everyone that has replied to my request. I have now booked a Intermediate SUV for £260 less than originally quoted.

Also thanks to Carolyn at US carhire for her help

    Regards

    Graham
