Are you both using Internet Explorer 11? If so, it would be easiest to install a second browser.

    Well - not really.

It would be easiest if the forum software worked properly with all browsers. Whatever it is doing it's doing something 'clever'. And whatever that 'clever' thing is doesn't appear to work with IE11.

i tend to agree with you on this one. I am more than capable of using digital devices but not very savy when it comes to the more technical problems. I have figured that when using IE11 the first line I type is fine, but once I hit return the problems begin. if I use the iPad I have no problems at all.

Can an any one from forum support help please?

    Diane.

I wish I knew what to say but the forum software is totally stock off the shelf software and is probably the most used forum software on the Internet. You'd think Microsoft would make their browser standards compliant like every other browser company does but it appears not.

Having said that, I'll have a look to see if any potential solution is out there as there must be something that can be done to make ie11 behave as it should be.

As IE11 is old hat & has been superceded by Edge, it does seem a little pointless to spend too much time "playing"....
Microdaft browsers have always been 'flaky' when compared to Firefox or Chrome....
After 'upgrade' to Windows 10, tried Edge for a few minutes before reverting to Firefox
