    Disney Annual passes

With the exchange rate as it is , it looks to me that you can buy an annual pass for the 4 Disney parks for about £211.

Does anyone know what perks you get with this. I suspect free parking - which would save a fair bit and a discount in shops if it is simiar to the Disneyland Paris one.

Would you recommend it as good value? We are coming to Florida for 3 weeks at Easter, and will spend at least 10 days park hopping

    Hi Jo,
you are right free car parking ($7 per day saving) and 10% off merchandise, and 10% off dining at the main restaurants but I think this is only at certain times of the day.

The 10% off dining is for lunch time Mon-Fri. One annual does for 4 guests.
Cirque tickets are usually around 15% cheaper so if you are planning on going there its a very good deal
Merchandise at World of Disney Store is 10%
If you are going for 10 days park hopping you will easily break even. I can give you more info if you want to PM

    Jo,

I'm pretty sure the break-even amount is 8 days for an AP.
We had 5 day hoppers which we upgraded to APs at the start of a two week trip in Dec.
We ended up saving money on that trip alone (parking, 5 nights stay at Animal Kingdom lodge, 10% off Planet Hollywood, 10% off World of Disney at DTD).
We also knew we were going back just before they expired for 3 weeks so APs made even more sense.

The only problem is that we have now decided to do a cheapie (yeah right ) end of April for 8 days because 'we have the passes so Disney will be free'....No willpower...So after saying it saves you money it has cost us an extra £1500-ish....lol

Best bit I reckon is popping in just to do one/two things, we did TestTrack and Mission:Space at Epcot, then leave. With a Parkhopper you have wasted a day, not so with an AP. We also did a couple of hours in MGM on our way back to the airport which made the last day so much better then previous visits...one last chunk of fun.

I'll post a straight cut & paste from the AP area detailing the discounts after this post.

The best think about the AP's is you can just pop into a park to go on a particular ride and you do not feel pressured to stay all day to get your money's worth [msnsmile]

At the gates in Disney or Downtown Disney. You are not allowed to re-sell them so you can only get them from Disney themselves.

Can you use the annual pass in any Disney park world-wide?

No - they are just for Walt Disney World in Florida. The other Disney parks worldwide have their own annual passes.
