Yes - there can be black widow spiders (don't want to scare you, but also do not want you to find out by accident) - they are poisonous and could really ruin an adults day, so imagine what they would do to a baby.

My advice is don't even walk on grass barefoot.

On the plus side, all villa pool areas are screened to keep the bugs out (but the sun in) and usually have a big deck area your baby can safely explore [msnsmile].

Only if you feed them (don't, it's illegal) or get up close to them! [msnwink]

There can be fire ants in the grass too, though villa pest control should control these. They arnt dangerous but it can really smart if they bite your ankles. Villas dont generally have gardens as such for a child to play in and I would keep a small child imside the pool screen as there is nothing really of interest to the back and around the sides of the villas worth getting bitten for.

John-I didn't know there was black window spiders!

You should also look out for the brown recluse spiders. They tend to hide in dark corners,so make sure that if you leave shoes, stroller etc outside or in a garage, you check them first. They are also poisonous and the bites can be especially nasty for the elderly and small children.
