Just to point out that you now need an ETA for entering Canada ( Started January 2016 )

And your ESTA for entering USA .

Just hire a car with Un limited Km .

Yes, I knew about the eTA thing for Canada, I actually thought that started last year, perhaps they delayed it.
The car is less clear, there is all sorts of different information regarding insurances and mileage in the 2 different countries depending which site you look on.
