Advice on flights please

Hi,

Planning trip for October 2005, 3 children aged (when we go) 15, 14, and 10, and 2 adults, got advanced booking quotes from charter travel flying with virgin, prices quoted are similar to flights available for this october with other airlines (indirect) but much cheaper than prices on virgin site.

Has anyone used charter travel for advanced bookings? If so do you mind letting me know your thoughts.[8)]

We have used them, the price was very good. They even price matched our car hire. They
are cheaper than Virgin, seems odd that they can sell Virgin flights cheaper than Virgin
itself, but hey as long as it saves me money im happy

That's interesting Chris, they matched your car hire quote, as i have had a quote for car hire £60 p/w cheaper than charter travels, i just thought perhaps they make their money from the car hire prices, save on flight, lose on car.

Did you book in advance and get your flights, they do not garantee them, and did you just tell them you had had a cheaper car hire quote?

Have used Charter Travel last year & again this year and have found them extremely helpful and flights were cheap, car hire was OK as well, highly reccomended

we were quoted a better price for dierect virgin flights and car hire by dial a flight, chater travel admitted they couldnt match it and it was quite a lot cheaper july flights in school hols.

Yes we booked in advance and got the flights, I mentioned the quote we had for car hire and they matched it, didnt have to send them the quote, but im sure they know what the competition is charging

We've flown BA previously and looking forward to flying Virgin as I've heard they have a good reputation. I've already pre-booked seats for the outward and return journey and children meals too. They were best price around but were told had to take car hire too at an extra to get the flight price. Just getting very excited now.[:I]
