    Kitchenaid Mixer

A bit of a longshot question. Just wondering if anyone has ever brought one of these back from the USA, and if it worked with a voltage adaptor. They are a much better price in the USA, but not if it won't work!!

    Thanks Dawn[ihop]

You will need a good quality transformer because of the power rating. This will cost in the region of £20 - £30 (Try Maplins website)

You have to be careful with the motors make sure its a DC motor, otherwise it will run slower in the UK due to the lower hertz. As others have said you will need a good quality step down transformer. Find out the watts and multiply this by 1.25 to be on the safe side.
