    Which car hire company

I am not sure whether to book car hire through Dollar or Alamo. Alamo prices appear to be slightly lower than Dollar. Does this mean that their vehicles/customer service are not as good[?]

Also are both these companies situated at Orlando airport or would we need to get transport to the depot[?]

I think I'm correct in that Dollar include more drivers than Alamo so that probably explains the very small difference in price.

Both of them are located in Orlando International Airport building now so try the link to http://www.floridahire.com where you can pay your money and take your choice of either company.

Dollar includes 2 drives in the Fully Inclusive option, Alamo is only driver.

Dollar includes unlimited drivers in the Gold option, Alamo is up to 4 drivers.

Both are on-airport at MCO (Orlando International).

We've not used Alamo since they went on-airport but our previous experience of them wasn't too good. We certainly won't risk using them again.

Apart from the driver difference as Kevin says they are the same. All hire companies have
new cars etc so really its down to how many drivers and then the cost

We have used both Alamo and Dollar and they are both good companies

We once hired a 12 seater (they didn't do a 9) with Dollar. When we got there there were no 12's so we were given a 15 seater.

We took it away-but I didn't like it - it was far too big and it was a real gas guzzler too. We took it back the next day and exchanged it for an 8 seater-I also got a refund.

I was very happy with the way they dealt with it.

(Just in case you have visions of the ninth person running along beside us-my daughter and hubby had already hired an E2-the nine seater was for when we all went out together for the day!)

I've used both Dollar and Alamo and they are equally tourist friendly.....as opposed to the likes of Hertz and Avis who tend to cater more for corporate clients. But, apart from the second driver option, I think Dollar are a bit better at action and replacement if for some reason the car you get is not satisfactory.
