    cresent lakes

Hi our family is planning a trip next Nov. We will be staying at Cresent Lakes home and have asked the owner about fishing,he really couldn't tell us what the best is for right in the development except he thinks shore fishing is good for the young ones. We have some serois fishermen going and the last time there was not great for them. Any suggestions on where is the best to go? Thanks We would appreciate any info you cna give. Bonnie

A quick search on the web for 'fishing in orlando florida' turned up the following amongst others:

    http://www.swannysbassguides.com/
    http://www.centralfloridabassfishing.com/
    http://www.orlandobassfishing.com/
    http://www.floridabassfishing.com/

Hope these are of use. There were a lot of websites advertising fishing in the Crescent Lakes area so you should have plenty to keep the serious fishermen occupied!

    Hi Bonnie

My villa also backs onto a lake with many Bass in it. I recommend that guests fish from the shore in the early morning or later in the evening. If it is very hot, then the fish go down deep into the water to escape the heat.

I have found a website which your serious fishermen may find useful. It also has links at the bottom of the home page to a number of other fishing sites in Central Florida. Hope this helps.

PS: Am not into fishing myself so have no personal experience!!

    Hello,
there is fishing on Crescent Lakes. Anyone will pull fish out all day long. However the young fish out number the larger fish and it is very difficult to cath the big ones. There is a stretch of wild water near the front of CL where I have caught some very decnt bass of up to 5lbs and big catfish too.
Kissimmee lake front has food fishing and there are some big competitions held there. Best to hore a boat for decent fishing.

p.s. I manage Rogers house so we will 'bump' each other.

Do you need to have a licence like you do in England to fish the lakes?

We are also going to Crescent Lakes, We know there is fishing available but is there anything else?
    Can you hire boats?
Is there a childrens play area?
Can you walk in the wooded area and what kind of wildlife live there?
Are there any bars or shops within walking distance in the area?
Any information at all would be appreciated

    Thanks Debbie.

Our villa backs onto Oak Park in Crescent Lakes. It has a slide, climbing frame, baseball basket and a large field with soccer nets for you to use. There are also BBQ stands should you want to eat whilt you are there!

We are on Crescent Lakes. The woodland connservation area (wich is over 6 miles deep) has a nature walk (a few minutes drive down the road) - it is a raised up board-walk (with side fences) over the undergrowth and swamp through the trees. Can can see spiders, snakes, and other very interesting wildlife. Half way round is a large lake with allegators and turtles. Don't worry there is no threat of the wildlife getting too close! Also, non of the above mentioned creatures venture as far as the Crescent Lakes development!
