Sunset photos - where's the best spots?

I will probably be taking all my photography kit with me this year, and hope to get some spectacular sunset shots, probably over the lakes. Can anyone suggest where might be good spots to get the shot I'm looking for. Would need to be fairly easy access, and not limited to the lakes either. Anything else out of the ordinary holiday snap I could consider.
I'll will post some of my best shots to the forum on my return.

What a great question! I've only had a few decent shots of sunsets from villas I've stayed at, but nothing really spectacular.

I'm hoping to get a day at Clearwater, if it comes off, might as well stay for sunset.

We back on to Lake Toho in Kissimmee and get great sunsets most evenings. I'm always looking for an excuse to take the boat out, so feel free to give me a shout when you are over and I'd be happy to take you out (up to 8 people) as you can get some great shots. It's a pretty big lake, around 4 miles across by 12 miles long. I've just got a new camera, although not learned how to use it properly yet, and got these shots last week. These photos are unedited.

Oh WOW Roger what a sight to look at in the evening, life cannot get any better than that, work hard all day then sit looking out at that setting.

    Fantastic photos.

We stayed at Treasure Island last November for a few days i could not believe how amazing it was to sit and watch a sunset, both Colin and i said we have been missing out for years not seeing one. Beautiful experience.

I am not sure how to add photos but ours are nothing like yours.

    Mary

I may well take you up on the offer. Coming over 23 October and staying until 10 November. Maybe I can help with photos.
