Kelly Park, Rock Springs and tube down the river , there are BBq grills there so youu can pack a cooler with the burgers etc and have some time in the water . Wekiva falls is another we stopped on way back but didnt have time to swim in there but looked good.
Have a google of Florida state parks and youll probably be surprised how many there are and usually the cost is $8 per car. We also like Jetty Park and Honeymoon Island.

Clearwater beach is a great day out or why not go on one of the many deep sea fishing trips from the harbour approx 4 hour trip the fishing is superb, my young daughter 12 at the time was catching king mackerel, you can then take it across the road and have it cooked at Crabby Bills delicious.

We drove from Orlando to Miami last November stayed 1 night then drove across Alligator Alley and stopped off at the Everglades for the usual Air boat ride which was superb then stopped off at Naples which in the 11 years of villa ownership Naples Pier and Beach are by far my favourite place in Florida, also worth a visit to 5th avenue and have some lunch or dinner in one of many restaurants and do some people watching as the world goes by.

Do go to Gatorland ... a 20 min drive & good fun for All

Do an Airboat Ride ...... Try Midway Airboat Rides at Christmas & Visit Fort Christmas on the way back

This is about a 1 hour drive from Disney on the road to Titisville & Kennedy Space Centre

Do a Trip on a Pontoon Boat ( As pointed out in Post 5 ) This trip lasting over an hour will show you the overside of Florida

About an hours drive on Hwy I 4 going towards Deland

Then for a Tree Top ZIP Wire trip go to Eco Safarie Park .... An hours drive on Hwy 192 East through St. Cloud & on towards Melbourne.

Take Turn Right before Harmony Estate

If you like wandering around gardens, Happy P Leu Gardens are good, as is Bok Tower. There is also a zoo at Sanford, not far from the airport.

We loved our trip to St.Augustine but you do need an overnight stay which makes it more expensive but why not try a river boat trip and see the "Real Florida" We can recommend Blue Heron River tours you cruise down the St.Johns River and the Hontoon Dead River.
Have a look at their website www.blueheronrivertours.com we have done the tour twice and thoroughly enjoyed it both times
