Lovely day out for very little cost. It even has it's own beach!
This is another of the lakes in the same chain - a little higher up the 27 (cross over the 50) and has a lovely Tiki Bar with great burgers and cheap bear!,

Lots of hidden things to do around the area without having to spend too much time in the car.

Have to say unless it is in a cage, I don't care how cheap the bear is I don't want to get too close to it![]()
Have you been to Disneys Boardwalk? That's a nice afternoon haunt of ours where you can take a browse round the hotels or sit on the beach area for a while (in the evening the neach club shows a film on a large screen so you can sit on the loungers and watch it. There is a big ESPN sports bar if you like sports there as well.
Why not go down to Tampa and catch a Tampa Bay Rays game? Tropicana Field (their stadium/arena) is very impressive and seats were reasonably priced. We saw our very first baseball game there and were really surprised, had a great time time there. So much so that we are already looking to see what games we can catch when we are out there in June!!! [sporty]
