Coming back with an extra bag - how to book with Lufthansa?

I am flying to MCO with United via Newark, but returning Orlando/Frankfurt/Edinburgh. In all likelihood we will be returning with an extra suitcase with the xmas shopping. I can see on the website that an extra suitcase costs 75 euros, but can't see how/where to book an extra case. Does anyone know if this can be done online, or is it just a matter of turning up and paying for it at check in.

If it's anything like BA, you will have the option of paying for an extra bag when you check in.

I'm sure with BA you can book extra bags before check in.

It is usually cheaper to pre-book extra luggage - maybe you could phone them if you can't do it on line

With most airlines it costs more to do it at the airport.

Sorry, I should have been clearer, I meant you have the option when you check in online (up to 24hrs before departure). You then get a cheaper rate than if you turn up at the airport with an extra bag.

I spoke to Lufthansa and they told me that I pay at the airport, and it doesn't cost any extra if i roll up with another suitcase at check-in. So how much does it cost? $100 per case sa long as it is withing the regulation dimensions and weight, OUCH!
