    animal kingdom

I have another question. We are going to WDW in Nov, before Thanksgiving. We are planning on going to the Animal Kingdom on one of the early admission days. Are you allowed to get a fast pass for later in the day, say 10:00, as soon as the park opens on the early days, or do they not start the fass pass until the regular hours start? If so, is it better to get a fast pass for the Safari and then go enjoy the other attractions before it gets too busy later in the day, or should we just go ahead and ride the Safari to start with? I am traveling with a toddler and want to reduce wait times as much as possible.
    Thanks

    Welcome to the forums.

If as you suggest you are arriving at the Park early, I would head straight for the Safari ride.

We always get to the park ready for when it opens and head straight to the Safari ride, its a bit of a walk and you have to dodge the people who are just wondering around not really knowing which way to go or what to look at first - so be ready to stop / cahnge direction very quickly

We have never had more than a few minutes wait to get on, in fact when we come off the ride we go straight back on it, last time we rode it 3 times back to back with no waiting.

Early in the morning is a good time as the animals are more active.

Then when you have had your fill, you can stroll back through the park, at your leisure, taking in all the sites that you avoided / missed on your way in.

AK is a great park to spend a few hours in, it is smaller than the other Disney Parks and has a less crowded more relaxed atmosphere.

    Have fun.

I should imagine it's great to watch the gorillas early in the morning too.

That's my favourite bit of the park. We never get there before 11am-that pool is just too tempting-lol!

Went got in as soon as the park opened and we ran (more like walked with a little pep) over to the Safari...the lines filled up quickly too. We have so many beautiful pictures of the animals which we wouldn't have gotten if we went on later. My friend was telling me how she didn't get to see any of the cool animals like the lions and the baboons because she guesses she went too late in the afternoon. Get there bright and early for the Safari!
