We love our home, and want to use it for retirement, but we were sold with guarantees from the agent but they are worthless no matter how they airbrush or gloss over the guarantees. It is only the hard work, commitment, continual spending on the villa that has allowed us to be successful and have new and repeat guests year on year. I know looking back, if we had not been so hands on and left it to our "then" property managers we would have been bankrupt within a short space of time. Enjoy the show and as Dave said take a sack of salt. I am sure other owners would say the same with their hard work, commitment and continual maintenance has made them successful rather than an agent providing a worthless guarantee.
It definitely isn't for the faint hearted that's for sure.
Good luck. Regards Jan
