Sorry you find the tickets very inconvenient. However these appear to be more durable as to date we have not had any requests for replacements. The old ones where made of the same materiel and we would get the odd request to replace them, mostly due to folks going swimming with them in their pockets.
Nothing to do with cost, it is much easer system as we can print the tickets on demand and also email them if required. A good copy on your phone is fine and can be used for replacements at guest relations. If you have not used the tickets and are finding them an issue, I am happy to refund and you can get a thin cardboard ticket direct at the park. they are just as susptable to damp and around the same size when folded. So not sure if that really is any better for you.
