Oct 1st -Saw an early start with my daughter and her husband going to Discovery Cove. The back to the villa for us and a laze around the pool watching two turkey buzzards gliding gracefully high above us. Up high they look so amazing an quite beautiful, up close is a different matter ugh! ug..ly. Today was for relaxing a trip to Downtown Disney was in order. Lots of building work going on but we had a lovely stroll through and lunch at Rainbow Cafe. Still have the storm but no rain, menu was not very inspiring but the sharing starters we had were good. Waiter was not pleasant and I had to bite my tongue, pushy to the extreme and he very unhappy that we did not order more. Volcano outside looks good but did not see it erupt.
We then caught the bus and went to the Boardwalk for icecream. There was a wedding with a glass coach and we admired the horses and its accompanying coachmen resplendent in white and gold.
We checked out the opulent interior of the Beach Club hotel as we passed through and then caught a bus from here back to DD. Great way to see some of this area if you are not staying in Disney itself.

2nd Oct - Seaworld today. First we went to Ihop for their great breakfast start, bottomless coffee pot always a favourite. I tried and failed with a steak omlette. Beautiful but too much for me, gently rolled out of the building and into the car (walking is impossible when your tummy is telling you that you are a greedy piggy and that coffee and 1 pancake would have been sufficient.
The sun was scorching down as we arrived at Seaworld, what a glorious day! Managed to fit in 3 shows - Clyde and Seamore, Dolphin show and the Shamu show. All superb and all totally different from last years shows. We ventured into the new Antarctic show and were suitably blown away. To get so close to the penguins was surreal. Queues for feeding the Dolphins was too long and we had no choice but to give this a miss. My son in laws grandparents rode on Journey to Atlantis, with us. This surprised us and his grandad said after he had never, ever ridden a ride like this, they both thoroughly enjoyed and laughed out loud during the ride. They were pleased they had ridden and we have the picture to prove to those at home who would never believe this. Magic of Florida.
Arrived home, collecting a checkers burger and fully loaded fries enroute. Exhausted there was no swim for me tonight just an early night.
