Scheduled are more flexible, flying once or twice a day. Charters fly once or twice a week, so are great if you are going for an exact 7 or 14 days and are happy to go on the day of the week that they fly but no good if you want to go for 9, 13, 22 nights etc.

British Airways and Virgin are the main schedule direct airlines. B/A also flies to Tampa (a good alternative airport to Orlando), Virgin doesn't. Monarch, Thomson and Thomas Cook are some of the charter flights.

Of course there are other schedule airlines that don't fly direct like Aer Lingus and U.S. to name just a few, normally a cheaper option.

We have flown BA, Virgin, Monarch (chartered) - no problems with any of them! Flown into Tampa, Sanford and MCO- all were ok but felt Tampa felt easiest!!
