Alamo - No Credit Card

Hi everyone, I know this has been asked before but having spoken to my travel agency I am starting to panic. We have booked a car through Alamo as part of a package and when I told them that I do not have any credit cards they said they would find out if a debit card was okay. They have now told me that only credit cards will be accepted. Has anyone experienced problems with Alaom recently? Perhaps they accept the pre paid credit card types?
Any advice would be much appreciated.

You can collect from airport locations with a debit card provided you show proof of a return flight (if booked through us but probably the same for all agents).

We used debit card the other year with Alamo no hassle. The guy bearly looked at it.
