    parking at Celebration

First post so please be kind

I have read that Celebration is a good place to visit on 4th July but that parking can be a problem. Does anyone have any advice on where it is best to park etc?
Having never been to Celebration, I have no idea what it is like there.
    Thanks :-)

I think it is just a mater of luck - finding a place at the side of the road and near the centre to park. We usually drive to the centre and when you get to the market place (turn right), we turn the opposite way - left, you can usually find a space up that road or a turning off, not too far from the centre

It does get busy at Celebration on high days and holidays but it is worth a visit. Parking has got more difficult over the years as they keep building on what used to be very large car parks!!! If you have not been there before I think you should do a bit of a reccy a day or two before following Sue's directions and then you will at least know in what direction to head once you have parked on the big day.

    Have a great time!!!

We usually turn left at opposite the Church and drive down towards the centre and have almost always found a spot in front of the sports areas with basketball court etc. so it's only a short walk to the shops.

We went on 4th July last year. There was a park and ride service from the high school ( I think that's where it was) but we parked at The Corpus Christi RC church where they were charging $6.00 to park. The school nearer to the centre was charging for parking on their playing fields and anyone with any sort of land or private car park was charging. The town centre car parks were rammed.
it was a great night though and the fireworks were fit to rival anything that Disney had to offer.

one tip, the further out of town you park the easier it is to get away. Those people who thought they had done well to get on the town centre car parks were going nowhere when the fireworks had finished it was one huge traffic jam. Having parked on the outskirts and walked 5-10 mins into the centre we got away relatively easily.

    Thanks guys for the info.
What time are the fireworks usually on? We will probably eat in the villa before we go as it will be busy everywhere but is there enough there to keep 3 teenagers happy for several hours or is it better to head there later in the day?
