Can't help on the parks but there shouldn't be a flight problem unless he's in an exit row seat in which case they'll move him.
I'm sure he's done it already but your insurers need to be told.
He should ask the doctor if it is alright to fly. They may change it to an open cast!
When I sprained my ankle I had to have a letter from the GP stating I was "fit to fly", may be worth checking with the airline? Diane.

Check with the insurers first - I've flown to Florida with an open/split cast on my leg...no problems at all
I think if the plaster is less than a week old the airline will insist on it being spilt as there is a danger of swelling during the flight. As already said you do need to check with the airline and Doctor and also carry a 'fit to fly' letter.
