    U S airways, comfortable?

We nealy always fly Virgin or British Midland but we are looking for something more economical aqs we are going out to orlando quite frequently at the moment. What are your collective experiences with US Airways. they have a flight for £214 at the time we are interested but as both my husband and I are quite large we don't want a seat pitch less than 30.
has anyone any experience or advice to offer. thany you.

We've flown US Airways a few times and will be going with them again in May. Most non-direct airlines are good, food and service was good. US Airways seat pitch is 33" but check here http://www.airlinequality.com/Produc...s_americas.htm

We've flown with US Airways a few times and they have the best in seat entertainment system of any of the airlines. It's like having your own personal DVD and music library that you can start / stop / pause as you like.

Service is good and connections were easy to make in Philadelphia [msnsmile]

My husband just flew back to the UK for a weekend with US (!!) via Phili and reports that they were fine. Flights on time, comfortable, easy connection. The UK leg is very comfortable. The US leg is as you would expect any internal flight to be as it is like a bus ride here, no film, pretzels and a coke ( no meal) but all internal flights are pretty much like that. You used to get a doggie bag ( paper bag with a bun and some crisps) but most dont offer even that now, Thankfully it is only 2 and a half hours. One comment, if you have a long gap, Phili airport is a bit devoid of things to do.

    Hi Newhomebuyer,

When are you flying out and who did you book your flight with? We are planning to go to Florida on March so we are trying to find the cheapest flight.

    Thanks

    Hi Maria,
We haven't made a booking yet but Ebookers were showing that good price this morning. We fly out of Manchester. It did not include tax by the way.

For exactly the same reasons as above, we have also flown with US Airways, they are cheap and cheery. No problems to date and we wouldn't question going with them again ! We went with Virgin at Christmas and will fly with them again in May and are hopefully giving Flyblu a go in October !

    Flew with them Nov/Dec 03, Gatwick/Charlotte/Orlando.

Economy seats are all 34" on the Airbus 333, excellent in flight entertainment, very helpful cabin crew, lots of free soft drinks etc. and decent meals. Certainly our 1st choice to use next December if we don't go to Canada in July/August instead.

Best price I could find for them was through http://www.airline-network.co.uk/

Staff were a bit miserable, but then most US airlines are.
Good seats and entertainment, bad meals

Yes we have flown with US Airways a few times, the individual controls for the films was great. I would have to totally disagree with 'kickstart', we thought the service was superb, the staff were certainly more friendly than the Virgin flights I have been on and the food was the best I have ever had on a flight. I would certainly recommend them.
