malls in orlando

hi was wanting to know which of the malls on international drive was the best for shopping we are based at the bottom near point orlando and does anyone know about the mall north of tampa near new port richey as moving over to villa there for second week thanks colin

Hi Colin, can't give you much info on the Orlando question but we did stay in Newport Richey for 2 weeks last year and there was a Mall there called Gulf View. Not too big but we thought it was OK, best thing about it was Harold Seltzers steakhouse on the same complex. Would recommend it highly for the quality of the food and excellent service.

On the subject of outlets, we went south of Tampa to Ellenton Premium Outlets 5461 Factory Shops Boulevard Ellenton. Not too long a drive from Newport Richey and well worth it.

Also just south of Newport Richey there is a steakhouse called Cody's Roadhouse, closest place to a Many's style I have come across.

If you have any questions about the Newport area just ask and I will try to answer them.

There is the Premium Outlets that is South International Drive (there is also one at North International) This should have most of things you might want to buy.

We used to live in New Port Richey. The best Mall by far is Countryside Mall on the US Hyw. 19.. It has an ice skating rink in the centre. The other one is Citrus Mall which is a few miles away but worth a visit. Gulf View Mall is quite old and no where near as nice as Countryside and Citrus.

We traveled north and south on the 19 (not a pleasant road to drive) and never saw the Countryside Mall. Looks like we missed out because as you say Gulf View is not a stand out place although our main reason for going was Harold Seltzers

Countryside Mall is going South on the US19 and there is a Cody's on the opposite side of the street which as you say, is similar to Manny's but not as noisy!! It is not easily signposted but can be seen on the left before you get to the flyover bridge.

There are 2 Cody's along the US19!! It would be the second Cody's that you would find Countryside Mall opposite. The Mall would be on the left and Cody's on the right. Maybe you will find it another time!!

Premium outlets at top end of I drive is great now. I never liked it much when it was belz mall. The other premium one is closer to you at pointe Orlando. Also lake buena vista one at the bottom end. Florida mall is good too but not an outlet mall, normal priced shops, Macy's etc. we try to visit them all for different things.
