    It is, at the end of the day, the decision of the immigration officer on arrival.

    All the laws in all the lands are irrelevant if the immigration officer decides *no entry*, it would be too late to do anything about it at that stage.

    I would have the passport re-newed, this way you can look forward to your trip without worrying.

    Does anyone know what the turnaround time for renewing expired adult 10 yr passports is on average, and whether there is a way to expedite i.e. pay a fee.

    Just had one back in 4 days, which is fast. 2 last year took aboit 7 days.

    My husband travelled with a week or two left on his passport after he returned without any comment.
